Oleificio Zucchi Spa gets the mark Made Green in Italy for sustainable 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, thanks to the technical support of Ambiente Italia: it is the first case in the agri-food sector!

Ambiente Italia and Oleificio Zucchi boast a long collaboration in the development of corporate sustainability initiatives, adopting innovative approaches and ahead of industry standards.

The Made Green in Italy brand, launched in 2018 by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety, represents a certification system that aims to enhance the market of Italian products with good/excellent environmental performance, calculated with the PEF method (Product Environmental Footprint), established by the European Commission.
Ambiente Italia provided assistance to Zucchi by conducting an in-depth study on the environmental footprint of the100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil Italian along the entire production chain, from the field to the distribution phase.

For Oleificio Zucchi, the Made Green in Italy brand constitutes yet another confirmation of the transparent and concrete approach towards sustainability: from the attention paid to the entire production chain, up to the constant search for technological solutions to improve the quality of the products, and to the decision, the first of its kind for the agri-food sector, to disclose to the market the environmental performances calculated thanks to the LCA study created by Ambiente Italia.
