What are Renewable Energy Communities?

Renewable Energy Communities (CERs) are organizations or aggregations of individuals, companies or local authorities that collaborate to produce, consume and manage energy.energy produced from renewable sources in a shared and sustainable way. These communities aim to promote theself , sharing of energy within the community itself. Why create a Renewable Energy Community?

Creating a renewable energy community delivers economic benefits, environmental e social, promoting sustainability and energy autonomy at a local level. CERs make it possible to become more independent from traditional energy sources and market prices, promoting the active participation of citizens in the production and management of energy.
These communities therefore represent an opportunity for both private groups that they want to pursue decarbonization goals e reduce your costs for the energy that for public entities who intend to combat the phenomenon of energy poverty and reduce the impacts on its territory.

SCOUTING AND SELECTION OF AREAS AND USERS SUITABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CER

We create territorial animation activities aimed at exploring the awareness of the community involved. We support the organizers in writing the expression of interest to collect membership for future CER projects, which will include the preparation and distribution of a specific questionnaire aimed at a preliminary characterization of potential members.

ANALYSIS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY

Let's evaluate the economic-financial feasibility considering the costs of technologies, systems and equipment, the incentives and tax breaks in place. We also analyze the cost/benefit ratio of the plant solutions, also considering any impacts environmental and socio-economic benefits for all the actors involved.

START OF OPERATIONAL PHASE AND ACTIVATION OF CER

  • Due Diligence and supervision of the design phases of the plant serving the CER;
  • Preparation of technical-administrative documentation to access public funding;
  • Preparation of documentation forconnection to the network and for registration with the GSE;
  • Design and development of communication and promotion campaigns.

TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS

  • Analysis of electricity consumption and reconstruction of consumption profiles
  • Evaluation of installable photovoltaic power or already available
  • Selection of utilities suitable for the installation of systems, inspections and verification ofstructural suitability e architectural
  • Verification of existing systems and evaluation of any projects underway or planned

GOVERNANCE AND BUSINESS PLAN

We develop Business Plan, defining the model of governance and the legal organization (partnership/membership agreement, statute and regulation) in addition to the economic-financial plan. We also propose the better organizational structure for the reference context (cooperatives, foundations and community-based companies) and financial schemes capable of directly attracting private investments (crowdfunding, energy performance contracts, bank loans, etc.),
