What is a Sustainability Report?
The Sustainability Report is a document certifying the performance of sustainability of a company, body or organization. It contains a detailed description of all the actions, processes and systems adopted to aim at the sustainability objectives of the 2030 UN Agenda, the so-called SDG's. It is a document addressed to stakeholder, internal and external, impacted by the group's activities: employees, suppliers, local communities, customers, etc.
Why does your organization need a Sustainability Report?
The Report is synonymous with transparency: declaring one's actions in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility in a clear and accessible way is an element that demonstrates the seriousness of a company towards the impact of its activities. Having this document available leads to a tangible improvement in one's public image, in a context that is increasingly attentive to sustainability.
In some cases there is alsoobligation to submit a document with standardized rules at community level. European legislation, accepted by Italian law with Legislative Decree 254/2016, requires the preparation of the Report in the following cases:
- Public interest companies
- Companies with over 500 employees
- Companies with over 20 million in total assets or more than 4o million in net revenues
- Listed companies
