What is SEA?
La Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is the procedure evaluation of plans and programmes. It is a process that starts right from the early stages of drawing up a plan, thus helping to direct it immediately towards sustainability objectives. To do this, the SEA identifies, describes and evaluates all the significant effects that their implementation could have on the environment.
The aim of the SEA is therefore to guarantee a high level of environmental Protection integrating environmental considerations in the elaboration, adoption and approval of both territorial and sectoral plans and programmes.

Why is the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) useful for your company?
SEA is compulsory for plans and programs that can have a significant impact on the environment. L'art. 4 paragraph 4a of Legislative Decree 152/2006 and subsequent amendments, specifies that the SEA "has the purpose of guaranteeing a high level of environmental protection and contributing to the integration of environmental considerations during the elaboration, adoption and approval of said plans and programs ensuring that they are consistent and contribute to the conditions for sustainable development”.
