Roberto Cariani
Graduated in Economics at the University of Venice in 1983. Since 1987 he has worked in the environmental consultancy and research sector and since 1995 he has collaborated with Ambiente Italia Srl, of which he is a founding partner. He has coordinated research and consultancy in the areas of waste management, energy planning, local sustainable planning, participation and negotiation processes. He has collaborated with the European institutions as an expert in the evaluation of LIFE projects. He developed his first experiences in Italy in the field of corporate eco-management, environmental audit and environmental management systems, also on behalf of national bodies (ANPA) on the application of EMAS in Italy. He has coordinated projects on the application of environmental technologies on behalf of national research institutions (ENEA). He has carried out support activities for trade associations of companies for the promotion of eco-innovation, studies and research on expenditure for the environment and safety, development of environmental management systems and on corporate social responsibility issues, coordinating the drafting of sustainability reports and the implementation of CSR policies for some important national industrial groups. Responsible and Project Manager for the area related to sustainability and management systems of Ambiente Italia Srl.
